A note on living ferments
Good things take time — and they're alive when they arrive
Every jar we ship is biologically active and still fermenting. That means the wild cultures inside are producing gases as they work. In transit, a little of that pressure sometimes pushes moisture through the lid — a small amount of leakage is normal and it's the surest sign your ferment is truly alive, not pasteurised.
Please pop your jars into the fridge as soon as they arrive. You'll receive a shipping notification the moment your order leaves us, so you can be ready.
Every customer ticks this before checkout. If your jar looks a little damp on arrival, that's the ferment doing its job — please pop it straight in the fridge.
